Homemade DIY card

Here's an easy,  get crafty,  DIY project that you do with what you have on hand.

These stickers were envelope sealers... super cute!

This one was to my only sibling, my sweet sister! She lives 2 and 1/2 hours away from me on Sunnyside,  Wa and it's her birthday on January 15th. I know she appreciates my handmade cards (at least I hope) that I started making as a way to save money.  This is part of my idea of extreme saving and  developing a budget for my family of 3. One day I will add up all the cards I will have bought in a single year to really see the price tag. I'm sure it's hefty!

I wish I would have thought to take pictures of ones I made for my Mama Bear, Gramasita,  and Avree. One I glued real candles to the front and simply wrote "make a wish". The inside I chose to write... "I love you more than the stars in the sky" and added hand drawn stars.  Avree's was a cutout of my hands and an accordian of folded paper glued in that said "I love you this much". For my Mama's birthday card I had a scrapbook cutout of a cone shape glued on colorful paper. To the ice cream cone I added tiny pompoms glued in all different colors.
Using just materials I have on hand I have sent all my love in a sealed envelope. I hope you share some ideas cards and envelopes you get inspired to hand make! Thank you for allowing to share mine.  I like to think of them as prototypes- always room for improvement  ;)

Be Kind,
Ash
